Lots of people also misunderstood millennial for being irresponsible travelers, ruining vacation time, and many other things. Well, not all of them are true. They are willing to spend money for fun and worthy activities. However, they won’t refuse if there is chance to save money if it doesn’t compromise their core values. Millennial are smart travelers so they value experience over material things. Instead of being low-spending backpackers, they are more like savvy travelers.
  • Millennial always like travelling along instead of with random people. Well, that is not entirely true. It is true that there is significant amount of increasing numbers of solo travelers. Most of them are millennial generation. However, it just shows that they like to broaden their horizon. Instead of travelling with people in the same age, they choose to travel solo and meet other people within various age range. Besides, lots of group tours adapt to millennial travel habits now.
  • Another myth is that millennial are irresponsible travelers. Many people see millennial as person with big pride and ego. They may see it from millennial activities on social media. However, not all millennial generation are irresponsible or egocentric. There are also millennial travelers who value more cultural aspect from travelling. In fact, lots of millennial travelers are willing to travel for volunteering program so they get not only fun but also the ability to help others. They also like to find out about sustainable travel options. They look more into real stuff and quality. Instead of eating at five stars restaurant, they choose local diner with authentic dish that has history behind.

Judging people easily is never a good thing to do. Even though millennial are always blamed for ruining things, it is not entirely true. You also don’t need to avoid millennial travelers if you meet them on your trip. You can try to get to know them instead of believing some myths.
